Alex Funk is not your average club DJ. Listening to 80s and 90s pop was a backdrop to Funk's own exploration of punk, industrial, and DC garage house. His sound respresents a refreshing change from the average nightclub DJ offerings; bringing together the sound of the underground, the pop vocals you love, and the quick-cut style of a european techno DJ. There are no rules. There are no playlists. This is Alex Funk working the party.

It all started back in the mid-90s, sneaking into DC clubs underage to get a taste of house music. Funk was captivated by the sound and loved dancing, but wanted more. In 1997, he bought his first pair of decks. After learning the basics of a good party in the hectic DC scene of the 90s, Funk travelled to NorCal to produce parties in both Santa Cruz and San Fransisco, playing with international names like Forest Green and Joey Mazola. Ever hungry for new experience in 2001, he moved overseas to Sweden to expand his knowledge of euro-sleaze disco and funky techno. In 2005, Alex Funk has brought his ecclectic music and party production style to Baltimore; a city of charm and kick-ass music. More recently, travelling gigs have included Miama, Las Vegas, and Fire Island.

Underground PeakHour? Top40 remix? BOTH! Alex Funk is mixing Mariah with Fedde, Janet with Hook'n'Sling, Gwen with Deadmau5 -- This is the future of nightclub music. No rules. Just fun music to dance to. Come at 10, dance till 5. You're gonna sweat.
